Christiane Neuschaefer-Rube

Christiane Neuschaefer-Rube is ENT and Phoniatrician. She is Head of the Clinic of Phoniatrics, Pedaudiology and Communication Disorders and Medical Chair of the Logopedic School located at the University Hospital of the RWTH Aachen University since 2001. Being Professor of the Medical Faculty of the RWTH Aachen University, she gives lectures for Students of Medicine as well as for Bachelor and Master Students of Logopedics. Since many years she holds courses for Voice Training of Professional Speakers.

Her main research interests are:

  • Modeling and morphing of voice and speech function
  • Gender-related and emotional aspects aspects of voice perception and production
  • Transgenders’ Voice
  • Digital voice and speech training (Apps, Serious Games etc.)

2008-2018:      UEMS-representative of the Union of European Phoniatricians (UEP)

2007-2017:     Board member, Vice President and Coopted board member of the German Society of Phoniatrics and Pedaudiology (DGPP)
